Differin gel is a topical medication containing the active substance adapalene, a type of retinoid used for the acne treatment. Differin gel is mainly used for mild forms of acne. In more severe forms, Differin gel is used in combination with other medications.
Differin gel works by promoting cell renewal in the epidermis, causing the old skin layer to disappear faster. As a result, pores are less likely to clog, acne outbreaks are reduced and the overall texture and appearance of the skin improves.
User manual
Apply a thin layer of Differin gel to clean, dry skin once a day before bed. Use sunscreen during the day, as Differin can make skin more sensitive to sunlight.

Important to know about Differin
- The active substance in Differin is Adapalene and ensures normal growth of the outer layer of the skin, reduces blackheads and unclogs pores.
- After 4 to 8 weeks, you will notice that the pimples and pimples are decreasing. Acne can get worse in the first few weeks before it improves. This is normal.
- Clean your skin with lukewarm water and pat your skin dry thoroughly. Spread the gel thinly on spots with pimples and pimples.
- Then wash your hands thoroughly immediately. Also, don't let it get into your eyes, nose, and lips.
- Your skin may become irritated, red, burning, dry, and itchy. This will go away on its own within a few weeks.
- Your skin may also be hypersensitive to UV light. Stay out of the sun, especially between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. Use a high-factor sunscreen and don't sunbathe either.
How does Differin work?
Differin stimulates the production of loose cells in the stratum corneum. The skin cells therefore peel off and do not accumulate in the pores. As a result, the pores are less likely to become clogged.
The symptoms of acne may worsen in the first three to four weeks. Only then can you notice improvement. The effect is maximum after a few months.
